Letterpress: Inspiration Broadside

Last week marked the close of my letterpress class with Jenny Wilkson at the School of Visual Concepts. I'm hoping I'll be able to find the funds to take a class again soon, but for now I can only dream about it.

The goal of the class was to create a letterpress-printed broadside, and to print enough to share with everyone in the class. After fostering my love for wood type at Hatch this summer, I can't seem to get away from it. I was lucky enough to attend the AIGA Into the Woods conference this fall, and came away with lots of inspiring phrases swirling around in my head, so I decided to make a broadside that I could hang up near my desk, to remind myself of the advice I heard from all of the amazing speakers and teachers at the conference.

And, the finished poster. I'm pretty stoked about it! Maybe I'll put it on Etsy :)

  1. "Fuck it, print it" is my new favorite letterpress-related advice.
